This November, Youi celebrates its second cohort of students graduating with a fully accredited Certificate III in Customer Engagement from a work-based traineeship. That means our new sales, client services and retention advisors are getting a nationally recognised qualification that they complete within work hours.
We partnered with the Australian College of Commerce and Management (ACCM) to create our very own customised course, and Australian apprenticeship provider BUSY at Work, to sign our students on to a traineeship.
The unique training program combines industry accredited training with Youi’s own internal skills development. This strongly lines up with the company’s commitment to delivering the best customer service the industry has to offer.
BUSY at Work Managing Director Paul Miles said that participants in the traineeship are taking an exciting and positive career step, “BUSY would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Youi and congratulate all graduates who, through this innovative traineeship program can all look forward to having rewarding careers in the insurance industry,” said Mr Miles.
Youi’s Chief People Officer, Ivan Pierce said that the Certificate III in Customer Engagement offers skills our employees can use here at Youi but that are also transferable to future careers. “We want Youi to be more than just a place to work but also an environment to continually learn and thrive,” he said.
And that’s just the start. When the traineeship is completed we’re not shy about celebrating either. VIPs are invited, certificates are awarded, and graduation caps get flung high in jubilation. Lindsey Bowtell graduates this November and says the course has helped her develop new skills she can apply to her current role but also elsewhere in the business, and the clincher is the support she has from Youi to do it.
