Storm affected customers urged to lodge insurance claims
Sunshine Coast based national car and home insurer Youi has urged storm affected south-east Queensland customers to lodge insurance claims as soon as possible.
Several super cell storms bringing heavy rain, wind and hail hit areas of the south-east on Tuesday afternoon.
Youi CEO Frank Costigan said “we understand storm damage to vehicles and especially homes can be a very upsetting experience and we want customers to let us know as soon as possible if they have suffered any damage.”
“The sooner customers let us know they have storm damage it will enable us to arrange for any required emergency repairs and to get the claim assessment process underway straight away.”
“Emergency assistance is available to householders who may have experienced severe damage to their home.”
“We have already received calls for assistance with hail damage to customer cars and water entering homes.
“It’s too early to estimate the cost of the storm damage as we are still receiving customer assistance calls and we expect claim numbers to increase as the storm activity continues.
“Youi has a team of dedicated professional claims advisors who will guide affected customers through the entire claim lodgement, assessment and repair process,” said Mr Costigan.
Customers who have experienced storm damage to their car or home are requested to lodge their claims as soon as possible over the Youi 24/7 claims telephone 1300 259 094 or online at www.youi.com.au.
